2003: Scots Highlanders and Grenadier Guards, Regimental bands of the British Army, are on a Nation-wide publicity tour of the United States.  These British Army regiments, trained as military infantrymen, will present fifes, drums, and a colorful spectacle for the American public.

The Record of history speaks differently about British Army activity in Ireland – “a record of dishonor in Northern Ireland unmatched by any security force in Europe” (Peter B. Ellis, British historian).

 Bloody Sunday – January 30, 1972  - 14 people, half of them teenagers, shot dead by the British Army in Derry

Springhill Massacre – July 9 1972 - 5 people, two of them children, shot dead by the British Army in Ballymurphy 

New Lodge Six Massacre - February 3, 1973 - 6 unarmed men shot dead without provocation

Dublin and Monaghan Bombings – May 17, 1974 - 33 people killed in twin no-warning bombs now linked to British Army involvement

Murder of Pat Finucane – February 12, 1989 - Civil Rights lawyer assassinated by Loyalists using British Army intelligence

Assassination of Peter McBride – September 4, 1992 - Unarmed 18—year-old father of two shot in the back at British Army checkpoint.  Two Scots Guards sentenced to Life for his Murder are released after 3 years, 4 months - currently back on tour in Scots Guards Regiment.   

Murder of Rosemary Nelson – March 15, 1999 - Civil Rights lawyer assassinated by Loyalists using British Army intelligence

Omagh Bombing – August 14, 1998 - 29 people killed, including 2 unborn children - Evidence from MI5 informants points to British Army foreknowledge and involvement
