| Irish Freedom Committee New Mexico Ronan MacLochlainn Cumann In honor of the 25th Anniversary of the 1981 Hunger Strike at Long Kesh Prison, the Irish Freedom Committee of New Mexico presents the extraordinary film "Some Mother's Son" at the legendary Guild Cinema for three showings on Thursday September 14th. Suggested donation is $7.00 at the door.
This film is a fictional account of the 1981 hunger strikes at Long Kesh Prison,
where Bobby Sands and nine others gave their lives in a fight for
Political Status for al Irish Republican political prisoners. Showtimes are 4:30 PM, 6:45 PM and 9:15 PM. There will be a short question and answer session after the 6:45 showing. Proceeds from these screenings will go directly to the families of Irish Republican POWs being held in English and Irish Free State prisons.
