IFC at JERICHO NYC PRISONERS' RIGHTS CONFERENCE

Representatives from the Irish Freedom Committee were invited to participate in the 2004 Jericho Movement Prisoners' Amnesty Conference, held Dec. 10 - 12, 2004 in New York City.  Deirdre Fennessy and Richard Wallace (IFC Chicago) and Owen Sullivan (IFC Boston) represented Irish Republican Political Prisoners at the conference. A spokesperson for the IFC, Deirdre Fennessy, and spoke about ongoing human rights abuses in Irish and British jails, and black propaganda efforts on the outside to destroy support.  Political prisoners from many nations were represented including-- in addition to Ireland-- the United States, Puerto Rico, Native America, Cuba, Dominican Republic, South America, Palestine, Basque, Africa, and more.
