Irish citizen Michael McKevitt is on trial in Dublin's no-jury Special Courts on charges of "directing terrorism", based solely on the manufactured allegations of an American citizen David Rupert who has been paid several millions for his testimony by the United States' FBI and the British Government's MI5. David Rupert has an extensive criminal background and also has been guaranteed up to $1 million in indemnity by the FBI against any civil lawsuit against him following the outcome of the trial. He has said that he is a "whore" who will "work for anybody" if the price is right. Evidence has also been uncovered that David Rupert may have been hypnotized by MI5 in 1999 to help "jog his memory". By his own admission, David Rupert was involved in the planning and execution of the massacre at Omagh which killed 29 people. Central to Rupert's testimony will be his cover-up of MI5 and Special Branch involvement in, and foreknowledge of, the Omagh bombing. Numerous
allegations have been lodged by this career criminal thus far. Rupert's statements under testimony, provided in the reportage
below, should continue to be read in light of his proven record of deceit and
greed. |
